Large (Matau) Fish Hook - Wood Carving. Size: 54cm Base 24.5cm x 19cm

Made in NZ from sustainably harvested tulip wood.

This fish hook represents strength, prosperity, abundance and a great respect for the sea. They were used as a practical tool for fishing and were often decorated as a sign of respect for the creatures of the sea. 

A Cloak (korowai) can be purchased for an additional $15 to go around the piece when presenting it to the intended recipient.
