Hei Tiki - Wood Carvings

Tiki was the first mortal man, formed by Tumatauenga, and endowed with life. Tumatauenga, is one of the sons of Father Sky and Mother earth. Tiki stands for fertility, the frequently occurring hands placed on the loins is a direct reference to fertility. Tiki is a good luck charm meant to keep evil spirits away.
